In the Moscow region, vaccination against CORONAVIRUS infection of adolescents aged 12 to 17 years has begun, according to the website of the regional Ministry of HEALTH.

“Children are no less than adults at risk of contracting coronavirus, as well as the development of severe complications. The Moscow region received the first batch of the coronavirus vaccine for children — 1.8 thousand dose sets. it has already been delivered to the vaccination points of children's polyclinics," the ministry said.

Children will be vaccinated with the Sputnik M two-component vaccine of the Gamaleya Center. The second component of the vaccine will be given three weeks after the first shot.

To vaccinate children under 15 years of age, written parental consent is required; from the age of 15, adolescents can decide for themselves whether to be vaccinated.

“Vaccination is carried out at the vaccination points of children's clinics by appointment through the regional portal “Gosuslugi,” the department specified.
