Due to the increase in the incidence of CORONAVIRUS in St. Petersburg, a number of city hospitals have been repurposed to receive infected patients. According to the press service of the city HEALTH committee, 60 additional beds for "covid" are deployed in the Psychiatric Hospital No. Skvortsova-Stepanova. Another 75 infectious beds appeared in the Maternity Hospital No. 16. Children with covid-19 began to accept the Children's City Hospital of St. Olga. 251 beds were deployed there.

Earlier, we recall, due to a sharp increase in the incidence of coronavirus among children, the number of infectious beds for this category of patients increased to 611. According to the press service of the Komzdrav, 246 children with coronavirus were hospitalized in St. Petersburg in the week from January 17 to January 23. For comparison: in the first week of January, 93 children were admitted to hospitals with symptoms of COVID-19.

In St. Petersburg, new records for the incidence of coronavirus have been set over the past few days. Over the past day, according to Smolny, 11,808 people fell ill in the city, of which 753 were hospitalized. As of January 27, there are 6,591 people in “covid” hospitals, in total, 8,687 beds have been deployed in the city to receive patients with coronavirus. There are 69,351 people with COVID-19 on outpatient treatment.
