More than 1,000 beds have been deployed at City Hospital No. 2, and the medical facility has been repurposed to treat COVID-infected patients. The number of beds has grown to 9.5 thousand, of which 25% are free.

The city multidisciplinary hospital No. 2 in St. Petersburg was redesigned to treat patients with CORONAVIRUS, the city HEALTH committee reports. The hospital has deployed 1,011 beds for those infected with covid-19 and patients with suspected infection, of which 86 are intensive care units.

The medical institution suspended the provision of planned and emergency care, and patients who cannot be discharged for outpatient treatment were transferred to other hospitals.

The day before, 150 beds were also additionally deployed at the Alexander Hospital, the committee recalled. Previously, 400 places were deployed there. The hospital continues to partially provide planned and emergency care.
