Veteran Zinaida Korneva was buried in St. Petersburg , who raised more than 4.5 million rubles during the pandemic. in support of doctors working with covid-19 , RIA Novosti reports.

The farewell ceremony for the veteran was held in the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, after which Zinaida Korneva was buried at the Bolsheokhtinsky cemetery in the city.

“They always called her Zinulya. A person who has lived all his life thinking about himself last, always worried about others and tried to help, ”said Elena Fomicheva, Korneva’s granddaughter.

According to the veteran's daughter, Olga Borisevich, Korneva mobilized for the Great Patriotic War at the age of 19, became an anti-aircraft gunner, and 239 enemy aircraft were shot down on her tip. She went through the whole war - from Stalingrad to Berlin.
