In St. Petersburg, the number of deaths from COVID-19 in April decreased by a third

In St. Petersburg in April, the number of patients who died due to the coronavirus COVID-19 decreased by a third compared to March figures, follows from the report of the Interdepartmental City Coordinating Council to combat the spread of coronavirus infection.

According to him, in April, 895 people with COVID-19 died in St. Petersburg, which is 32.2% less than in March. Then 1320 people died in the city due to the coronavirus. In February, almost the same figures were recorded - 1341 people.

When comparing data on coronavirus for March and April in St. Petersburg, signs of a decrease in the intensity of the spread of infection were revealed. Thus, the number of patients seeking medical care with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 decreased by 22.61%. In addition, the total number of patients observed both in hospitals - by 11.13%, and outpatients - by 15.61% has decreased.
