Lyubov Polyakova, General DIRECTOR of the Pharmaceutical Base of St. Petersburg, explained that the children's vaccine "Sputnik M" is intended for adolescents from 12 to 17 years old inclusive (according to the Komzdrav, 240 thousand children fall under this category in St. Petersburg; the Leningrad region needs about 35 thousand sets vaccines to carry out full prevention of "covid" among adolescents). For its storage, special temperature conditions are required - no higher than -18 degrees.
Vaccination of children under 15 years of age will require the presence of parents to sign an informed voluntary consent. After the age of 15, a teenager has the right to give consent independently. Vaccination with Sputnik M will take place in two stages. The second dose of the drug is administered three weeks after the first.
