As of February 2, 303 children aged 12 to 17 were vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS infection in the Perm Territory. This was reported to RBC Perm by the press service of the regional Ministry of HEALTH. They added that the vaccine has already arrived in most of the clinics.

In addition, the press service of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reported that 7 cases of the omicron strain in adolescents were detected in the Kama region.

Earlier, RBC Perm reported that over the past week, the incidence of covid in children aged 0 to 17 increased by 2.1 times. Tatyana Gut, Deputy Chief Physician of Children's Clinical Hospital No. 3, told which children of which age group are most affected by the coronavirus infection and are admitted to hospitals for treatment.

“Children get sick in different ways. Some guys get sick very seriously - with a febrile temperature, cough, with complications such as pneumonia, bronchitis, severe symptoms of intoxication, dyspeptic manifestations. Today we observe a severe course of the disease among children from one to two years old. Children are admitted with high fever, intoxication syndrome. Older children get sick a little easier, but there is a rough cough, sneezing, nasal congestion and a temperature of up to 38 degrees. Adult children over 7 years old are generally easily ill in this wave and, as a rule, they do not end up in a hospital, they are treated at an outpatient stage, in a polyclinic, ”said the Deputy Chief Physician.
