Police fire gas at protests against COVID-19 passports in Paris

In Paris, the security forces used tear gas against protesters who were dissatisfied with the introduction of mandatory vaccinations and COVID-passports in the country, Le Figaro newspaper reports.

The protests took place on the Place de la République, located in the center of the French capital, clashes between protesters and police began. After several such conflicts, the security forces used gas.

As a result of the clashes, one soldier of the police special forces was injured. He had to be evacuated from Republic Square. In total, at least three law enforcement officers were injured during the protests.
