One of the “covid” hospitals in St. Petersburg reported 100% occupancy

At the Pokrovskaya hospital, which has been completely redesigned to receive patients with coronavirus, all the beds have been deployed: moreover, both regular and additional beds were occupied. This was reported to RBC Petersburg in the press service of the hospital.

According to the interlocutor of Rizdaniya, on the morning of June 15, there were about 700 patients in the hospital. It should be noted that in the spring of 2020, when the multidisciplinary hospital was redesigned as a “covid” one, the bed capacity of the medical facility allowed to receive no more than 550 patients.

“There is no need to talk about the share of free beds, since recently, which can be compared with the peak of the“ first wave ”of last year, the number of deployed beds exceeds their regular number. The proportion of "severe" patients with coronavirus is large, the beds of the intensive care unit are also supplemented, as far as possible according to sanitary and epidemiological rules," the press service said. At the same time, the hospital added that patients with coronavirus are also provided with multidisciplinary medical care.

The Pokrovskaya hospital also clarified that now there are seven boxes in the admissions department and “recently they are all busy at the same time.”

It should be noted that the day before, on June 16, against the backdrop of a worsening epidemiological situation, the Mariinsky Hospital resumed receiving patients with COVID-19 . RBC Petersburg sent requests to the press service of the Botkin Hospital and the press service of the Hospital for War Veterans with a request to comment on the loading of patients.
