An increase in the incidence of COVID-19 was again noted in the Novosibirsk region

Last week, 443 cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were recorded in the region, which is 20% more than a week earlier. Alexander Shcherbatov, HEAD of the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Novosibirsk region, spoke about this on August 1, at an operational meeting in the government of the region.
“There is a trend towards an increase in the incidence for the second week, we are actively observing this,” Shcherbatova is quoted by TASS.
According to him, most of the cases were detected not in Novosibirsk, but in the regions of the region. The proportion of cases there was 64%. Shcherbatov noted that the disease often proceeds in a mild form - 97% of the sick have signs of SARS.
At an operational meeting that took place a week ago, Shcherbatov spoke about a 10% increase in the incidence of covid-19 in the Novosibirsk region. At the same time, most of the cases were also noted in the districts of the region.
