The demand for vaccination against CORONAVIRUS in the Nizhny Novgorod region has increased by 15% over the past week. This was announced on his page on the social network by the Minister of Health of the region David Melik-Huseinov.
The HEAD of the Ministry of Health linked the increase in demand for vaccination with the spread of the Omicron strain in the region.
"The vaccine significantly reduces the risk of a severe course of the disease," Melik-Guseinov wrote.
Observations of the course of the disease showed that the average incubation period for infection with the omicron strain is 3 days, the average duration of the disease in vaccinated people is 5-6 days, in unvaccinated people it is more than 12 days.
The Minister of Health also recalled that the main symptoms of infection with the omicron strain of coronavirus are a runny nose, headache, sore throat, hoarseness and upset stools.
