As RBC Nizhny Novgorod was told in the regional Ministry of HEALTH, by the end of this week the number of vaccinated minors is planned to double.
Vaccination of adolescents aged 12 to 18 in the Nizhny Novgorod region started at the end of January, when the region received the first batch of Sputnik M vaccine in the amount of 2160 doses.
The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, then said that vaccination points with Sputnik M had been organized in the region, the necessary medical equipment had been purchased, and all specialized medical organizations were ready to conduct a vaccination campaign among minors.
Vaccination of children is carried out on a voluntary basis with the written consent of the parents. From the age of 15, a child can independently decide on voluntary vaccination.
The Ministry of Health reported that information on the procedure for registering adolescents for vaccination can be obtained from children's clinics.
