In the Republic of Nicaragua, the Russian one-component vaccine against COVID-19 "Sputnik Light" was registered. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

“Registration of the Sputnik Light vaccine will increase the number of tools available to the country to fight the coronavirus and will speed up the campaign to vaccinate citizens,” said Kirill Dmitriev, director of the RDIF.

The Ministry of Health announced the timing of the entry of "Sputnik Light" into civil circulation Society

The Sputnik Light vaccine was registered in Russia on May 6, 2021. As noted in the fund, its effectiveness is 79.4% based on the analysis of data from the 28th day after receiving this vaccination by Russian citizens.

The Gamaleya Center that developed the drug confirmed that Sputnik Light is effective against all strains of coronavirus, and antigen-specific antibodies (IgG) are produced after it on the 28th day. In people who already have antibodies, the vaccine can increase their number by 40 times already on the tenth day, the center noted.
