
Police in Moscow have detained a member of the Pussy Riot group Maria Alekhina for an action timed to coincide with the anniversary of the start of World War II. This was announced by her lawyer Olga Karlova, reports TASS.
“The police detained my confidant Alyokhina. The reason for the detention is literally as follows: she was detained for planning and holding an action dedicated to the anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War, as well as for violating the conditions of house arrest, ”she said.
According to her, before the arrest, Alyokhina left home in order to get vaccinated against covid-19 , which she notified the investigator in advance. Karlova added that an administrative protocol was drawn up against her client under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of RUSSIA (disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer). “She allegedly refused to voluntarily follow the police car. But we have a video recording confirming that Alyokhina calmly gets out of the taxi and follows into the police car, ”she clarified.

The lawyer also claims that Olga Shalina, the HEAD of the Moscow branch of the organization "Eduard Limonov's Other Russia ", was detained along with Alyokhina , but did not specify under which article.
Later, Karlova told Interfax that Alyokhina, Shalina, as well as their friend, who was detained along with the women, would be left at the police station for the night. “I was told that today no actions would be carried out with their participation, the material would be compiled tomorrow, the detainees were left overnight in the police,” the defender explained.
Earlier Tuesday, the Metropolitan Police detained director and Pussy Riot member Anna Kuzminykh. She said that she was put on an electronic bracelet and checked for participation in crimes.

Nikulshina was given 15 days of administrative arrest for disobedience to police officers.
