In Moscow, police officers detained a suspect in the manufacture and sale of a fake certificate of vaccination against CORONAVIRUS. This was reported by the press service of the capital's HEAD office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“As a result of the operational search activities carried out on Kashirskoye Highway, the police detained a man who delivered a vaccination certificate to the customer without actually passing it,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

Police officers found that the detained 29-year-old man made and sold a fake certificate, passing it to a courier service officer.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 327 of the Criminal Code (forgery of documents). The COURT chose the man a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior. The maximum punishment provided for by the sanction of this article is deprivation of liberty for up to two years.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor reported that since the beginning of the year it has blocked or deleted about 150 Internet pages with information, including those related to the sale of coronavirus vaccination certificates. In total, since 2020, the agency has removed more than a thousand pages of materials that contained false information about the coronavirus.

Against the backdrop of a sharp increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection in the capital, the Moscow Mayor's Office has strengthened quarantine restrictions, including mandatory vaccination of 60% of workers in some industries. If employees refuse to be vaccinated, they can be suspended from work without pay. Moscow hospitals have stopped accepting people without a vaccination certificate for elective surgeries.
