Record number of new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moscow since mid-July

In Moscow, over the past day, CORONAVIRUS has been detected in 4,410 new patients, according to the data of the operational headquarters. This is the maximum daily increase in new coronavirus cases in the city since July 17 (when 4,561 new cases of infection were detected in the capital a day).

As of the morning of October 4, 66 people have died from covid-19 in Moscow over the past 24 hours, and another 1,956 have recovered. This is one of the highest figures for the last 24 hours throughout RUSSIA.

In the country as a whole, according to the operational headquarters, over the past 24 hours, COVID-19 was found in 25,781 new patients, 883 people with this diagnosis died.

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov spoke about the growing wave of coronavirus cases in Russia at the end of September. These data were also recognized by the HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova. The rate of incidence of coronavirus, she noted, is increasing against the backdrop of a seasonal increase in SARS infections. As of September 30, the official said, “an increase in the incidence [is observed] in 56 subjects” of the country.
