More than 26 thousand cases of COVID were detected in Moscow with 1.4 thousand hospitalizations

In Moscow, 26,488 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were detected per day, 1,419 people were hospitalized with the same diagnosis, follows from the data of the operational headquarters.

This is a quarter of all cases of infection detected in the country per day (113.1 thousand - the maximum since the beginning of the pandemic).

More cases of infection in the city were detected only on January 27, when 26,586 people were infected with covid-19 . On the same day, the maximum number of patients was hospitalized in the capital for the entire observation period - 1459. The Operational Headquarters has been publishing statistics on hospitalizations since January 20.

Thus, the daily increase in infections in Moscow for the week (compared to January 22) amounted to 64.3%, and hospitalizations - 31.7%.
