Moscow extends validity of QR codes for coronavirus patients

In Moscow, from December 20, the validity period of QR codes for those who recovered from CORONAVIRUS infection was extended to 12 months. This was reported by the mayor of the city Sergei Sobyanin in his blog.

Previously, confirmation that a person had been infected with the coronavirus was valid for six months. Now the current six-month certificates will be extended on the last day of their term for another six months. If the semi-annual certificate has already expired, but less than 12 months have passed since the moment of recovery, then the QR code will automatically be extended for a year from the moment of recovery. New QR codes will immediately be issued for a year, the mayor's office explained.

Also, in accordance with federal regulations, changes are being made to the expiration date of negative PCR tests. They will be valid not for three days, as before, but for two. QR codes issued after vaccination will still be valid for a year.

The fact that in RUSSIA they will extend the validity of certificates received after illness, the HEAD of the Ministry of HEALTH, Mikhail Murashko, announced at the end of November. He promised that this would happen automatically. Later, Assistant Minister Alexei Kuznetsov said that all decisions for the extension had been made, and the technical procedure would be completed "in the near future."
