The first five cars were raffled among Muscovites vaccinated against covid-19 Society
As part of the promotion, Muscovites will be able to receive a gift card or promotional code with a face value of 1,000 reward points. They can be spent in stores, pharmacies and other consumer market enterprises, while receiving additional discounts.
The program was launched in April against the backdrop of a worsening situation with coronavirus in the capital and the need to encourage Muscovites to get vaccinated. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) came up with a proposal to give Muscovites over 60 who were vaccinated against COVID-19 discounts in stores and pharmacies. Then the mayor noted that he considers it necessary to supplement the system of discounts with financial support, and the funds necessary to finance such a program can be raised through donations from representatives of "socially responsible business", including the MCCI asset.
The Million Prizes campaign was held in Moscow in 2020 during the voting on amendments to the Constitution.
