In Moscow and St. Petersburg, a record number of people infected with COVID per day was revealed

Moscow and St. Petersburg broke records for the number of new cases of covid-19 per day, follows from the data of the operational headquarters.

In the capital, another 26,586 people infected with CORONAVIRUS were detected per day. This is the maximum since the beginning of the pandemic. The previous record was set the day before - on January 26, 19,956 new cases of infection were detected in the capital. Thus, the number of new cases increased by a third in a day.

In St. Petersburg, 11,808 cases of COVID-19 were recorded per day. The last maximum was also registered the day before. On January 26, the daily increase in infected people in St. Petersburg amounted to 10,581.
