“But, unfortunately, the circulation of the virus is still ongoing, and preventive measures, including revaccination for risk groups – the elderly and those with chronic diseases – remain relevant,” he said.

Rospotrebnadzor also said that it would continue monitoring to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The agency noted that the situation with COVID-19 in the world is still difficult, and in some countries it is tense. The virus continues to mutate, and in India, the number of cases of infection with a new variant of Arcturus has risen sharply, experts say. “The genomic sequences of the new strain have been found in 136 countries, including South Africa, Pakistan, Mongolia, the usa , Brunei, and Chile,” Rospotrebnadzor added.
