В минздраве рассказали, когда в РТ могли ввести второй COVID-локдаун

The Ministry of HEALTH told when the second COVID-lockdown could be introduced in the Republic of Tatarstan, according to the first deputy HEAD of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, was recorded in February. Now herd immunity has dropped to 10%.

“February 2022 showed us the highest figures for the incidence of covid-19. We were practically close to lockdown. There was such an opportunity to take sick leave by phone without coming to a medical facility. This measure allowed us to pass the epidemic threshold. And then there was a fairly high immunization of the population,” First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Almir Abashev said live on the air of the Regional Management Center.

Now collective immunity in COVID-19 in Tatarstan is a little over 10%. 544 thousand people were revaccinated in the region. “This threshold is low, that about 10% of the population subject to revaccination has been revaccinated. Collective immunity is 10%, while it should be at the level of 80%,” Abashev said.

At the same time, the milder covid strain “omicron” and its various subspecies now prevail, while last winter the more dangerous delta strain was the most common. However, Abashev noted, the virus is constantly mutating, and one should not refuse vaccination.

“Despite the fact that most of our population has been vaccinated with 2 components of the vaccine - more than 2.8 million people have been vaccinated with various vaccines (the main pool is Sputnik V) - in order to avoid the injectable form, science in the country has taken such a step towards a more accessible method of administering the vaccine: nasally,” Abashev said.

According to him, the republic is fully provided with a nasal vaccine against CORONAVIRUS. Vaccination can be done at any vaccination center. “Of course, it is best to get vaccinated at the polyclinic at the place of residence,” the deputy minister said.

According to Abashev, the healthcare system is coping with the flow of patients due to COVID-19. However, there is a negative trend: residents, suffering from a mild disease, do not seek medical help.
