The Ministry of Education and Science recommended transferring unvaccinated students to a remote location Society

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science recommended transferring university and university students who were not vaccinated against covid-19 to a remote location and not settling them in hostels. If it is necessary for such students to attend classes in person, educational institutions were advised to develop special attendance rules. The agency also recommended that universities organize COVID-19 vaccination of foreign students at the expense of the income of the institutes and universities themselves.

Elena Shmeleva (United RUSSIA) co-chairman of the Central Headquarters of the ONF, HEAD of the educational center "Sirius" criticized the recommendations. She stated that it is wrong to discriminate against certain categories of students or teachers. According to her, everything must be done "to make vaccination convenient and safe, including for people under 18." In addition, Shmeleva noted, there are those who enter universities even before adulthood, and the situation when a “large number” of students will be cut off from classes looks undeveloped.
