The Moscow authorities do not intend to introduce a new lockdown in the city due to the increase in the incidence of CORONAVIRUS infection. This was announced to RBC by the head of the department of trade and services, Alexei Nemeryuk.
“Information about plans to introduce a new lockdown in Moscow is not true,” Nemeryuk said.
Earlier, Forbes, citing three sources - in the mayor's office, close to the mayor's office and in the government - said that the Moscow mayor's office is considering introducing a new lockdown, but no decision has been made yet.
One of the sources said that the city authorities are discussing the introduction of a lockdown from June 20, and it will apply to those who have not been vaccinated. However, the exact decision will be made based on the statistics on the sick, the source added.
