Mandatory vaccination for people over 60 and law enforcement officers was introduced in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. it is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the chief sanitary DOCTOR for the region Dmitry Goryachev.

“The list of certain groups of citizens subject to vaccination includes law enforcement officers and employees, as well as persons aged 60 years and older,” he said.

According to him, at least 80% of the number of these categories of citizens must be vaccinated by January 15, 2022.

To date, mandatory vaccination in the region is provided for employees in the fields of education, transport services, catering and trade. In addition, employees of multifunctional centers, housing and communal services, theaters and beauty salons should be vaccinated.

A day earlier, the Minister of HEALTH of the region, Boris Nemik, said that the Krasnoyarsk Territory had reached a plateau in the incidence of CORONAVIRUS. “The rate of increase in the incidence began to slow down, but the overall high level of incidence, the number of actively ill people is quite high, so we are now at the peak, we can say the fourth wave, so far without any particular downward trend,” he said.

In total, more than 142,000 people have fallen ill in the region since the beginning of the pandemic, and about 7,000 have died.
