In Kazan, a medical worker was detained for fake certificates of COVID vaccination

The police detained an employee of the Kazan Consultative and Diagnostic Center. She is suspected of selling fake certificates of vaccination against covid-19. 60 people managed to get them

The person involved in the criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "official forgery" and part 1 of Art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "petty bribery" was a 21-year-old worker of one of the Kazan consultative and diagnostic centers.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, the HEALTH worker sold fake certificates of vaccination against CORONAVIRUS at a price of 2,000 to 4,000 rubles, "while in fact, citizens were not vaccinated."

For her illegal actions, the suspect received a reward of 2,000 to 4,000 rubles. About 60 citizens of Kazan used its services. Illegal income amounted to 200 thousand rubles.

Those who have acquired fake vaccination certificates face criminal liability, Part 3, Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the acquisition of storage of fake documents. Now the police are looking for other defendants in the criminal case. 

On July 6, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan reported that manufacturers of falsified vaccination documents could become defendants in criminal cases under Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “forgery, production or circulation of fake documents, state awards, stamps, seals or letterheads.” The maximum penalty for falsifying and selling a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus can be up to 2 years in prison, for buying and storing - up to 1 year.

In addition, if a person with a fake vaccination certificate becomes a source of infection, he may incur administrative (fine, correctional labor) or criminal liability. In case of death, the offender faces up to 5 years in prison under Art. 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules".
