India's coronavirus death toll tops 300,000

In India, 4,454 people died from CORONAVIRUS per day, since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of deaths has reached 303,720, follows from the data of the authorities.

During the day, 222,315 cases of covid-19 were detected , the total number of cases of infection was 26,752,447.

For the first time, India broke the world record for the number of cases of COVID-19 at the end of April, then it amounted to 314.8 thousand per day. After that, the country updated the record several times. In early May, the number of infected people detected in 24 hours exceeded 414.1 thousand people.
