About 70% of adults in the European Union received the first dose of the CORONAVIRUS vaccine. This was stated by the HEAD of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on Twitter.
“The European Union kept its promise. 70% of adults in the EU have received at least one dose of the covid-19 vaccine,” the head of the European Commission wrote. According to her, 57% of EU citizens have been fully vaccinated.
“The Indian Delta strain of coronavirus is very dangerous. I encourage everyone who can get vaccinated," von der Leyen added.
The EU reported the consequences of vaccinations against coronavirus Society
Mass vaccination against COVID-19 in the European Union began in December 2020. Von der Leyen then said that in order to defeat the coronavirus, 70% of the European population must be vaccinated. The EU, on behalf of 27 countries, has awarded contracts to six COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers: BioNTech-Pfizer, ASTRAZENECA, Sanofi-GSK, Johnson & Johnson, CureVac and Moderna. A month later, the vaccines ran out, and only 5% of the residents managed to get vaccinated.
