
The European Parliament (EP) and the EU Council have reached a preliminary agreement on the introduction of a vaccination certificate for EU residents. European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders announced this on Twitter.
“Agreement has been reached on the proposal of the European Commission for a European covid digital certificate. I welcome today's preliminary agreement reached by the European Parliament and the EU Council," he wrote.
The message of the European Parliament says that on May 26, the relevant EP committee on civil liberties will vote on the text. The final approval of the agreement on CORONAVIRUS certificates for the EU is scheduled for the plenary session of the European Parliament on June 7-10 in Brussels.

“The certificate will be available in digital or paper format. it will indicate that a person has been vaccinated against the coronavirus, has recently received a negative test result, or has recovered from an infection. In practice, these will be three different certificates.
