The Prosecutor General's Office of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack against the commander of a missile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) after shelling the city of Kramatorsk from the Tochka-U tactical missile system, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the department.
“A criminal case is being investigated against the commander of the 19th missile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who, being on the territory of the DPR, temporarily controlled by Ukraine, ordered his subordinates to fire from the Tochka-U missile system in the city of Kramatorsk,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
The Ministry of Defense blamed the Ukrainian missile division for the strike on Kramatorsk Politics
The second article, under which a criminal case has been initiated, is “planning, preparing or unleashing an aggressive war” (Article 423 of the Criminal Code of the DPR), which provides for punishment of up to 20 years in prison. Under the article on the terrorist attack (Article 229 of the Criminal Code of the DPR), the perpetrator may face life imprisonment.
This is not the first time that the authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic initiate criminal cases against the commanders of the armed forces of Ukraine and recognize attacks on infrastructure as terrorist attacks. On April 10, the republic's Prosecutor General's Office announced that the investigating authorities were investigating at least several such cases after the April 9 strikes.
The missile attack on Kramatorsk, which is controlled by Ukrainian troops, became known on April 8. In the vicinity of the station, where the civilian population was being evacuated, fragments of the Tochka-U rocket fell, killing 30 people, and about 100 more were injured, said Eduard Basurin, deputy HEAD of the People’s Militia Department of the DPR,

The Ministry of Defense believes that the blow was delivered by the Ukrainian division from the area of the city of Dobropolye, 55 km from Kramatorsk.
Basurin said after the shelling that the military of the DPR and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) do not use these missile systems. In the Russian IC they said that Tochki-U were not in service with the country's troops. The head of the department Alexander Bastrykin instructed to investigate the circumstances of the missile attack. The UK also opened a criminal case on this matter.
