
Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey is stepping down and will be replaced by Chief Operating Officer Enrique Brown at the end of March next year, the company's press service announced.
Quincey, 60, joined the company in 1996, became CEO in 2017, and chairman in 2019. After stepping down as CEO, he will transition to the role of executive chairman.
Under his leadership, Coca-Cola shares rose by more than 60%, writesBLOOMBERG . Coca-Cola also managed to expand its product range beyond soda, adding new drinks to the line, includingcoffee , sports drinks and Fairlife ultra-filtered MILK .
Quincey also changed the company's strategy and operating model to make it more flexible and connected, Coca-Cola's press service noted. The CEO also focused on digital transformation and marketing modernization—he led the company through the pandemic.covid-19 .
Brown will serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer effective January 1, 2025, and executive vice president effective 2024. Like Quincey, he joined Coca-Cola in 1996.
Brown was previously president of the Latin America operating unit, president of the Brazilian business unit, and president of CHINA and SOUTH KOREA.
"I'm stepping down as CEO after a 30-year career with the company and understand what a privilege it has been to serve this <…> business. Enrique is a trusted and experienced business partner, and he is the right leader to guide the company and the Coca-Cola system for future growth and success," Quincey said.
The American manufacturer Coca-Cola Company withdrew from RUSSIA in 2022, but its trademarks remain valid. In September 2025, Coca-Cola Company filed a lawsuit against Coca-Cola Company LLC, registered in South Ossetia.
