Belgorod schoolchildren are beginning to receive permits for vaccination with Sputnik M. The press service said that it was a "research"

Today, Bel.ru published a photo of the vaccination consent sheet for parents to fill out in Belgorod schools. As explained in the press service of the regional government, employees of children's clinics "showed the initiative and through educational institutions conducted a study of the readiness of parents to vaccinate their children with a new vaccine." “Test” permissions to vaccinate their children against CORONAVIRUS infection are expected for parents whose child has not yet reached the age of 15, in turn, older students make their own decision. Children's immunization, the authorities emphasize, will be voluntary for Belgorod residents. Sputnik M itself has not yet arrived in the region.

It should be noted that the third phase of a clinical trial of the Sputnik M vaccine against covid-19 for adolescents from 12 to 17 years old is underway in Moscow, it is expected that 3,000 adolescents should take part in the trials. Volunteers will be able to receive 15 thousand rubles in compensation, RBC was confirmed in the press service of the Moscow HEALTH Department. Developed by the Center Gamaleya "Sputnik M" has already passed the first and second phases of research on the basis of Moscow hospitals. The dosage of the vaccine for adolescents has been reduced by five times compared to the “adult” Sputnik, but immunization is also carried out in two stages.

The Belgorod press service shared with RBC Chernozemye that the region is not among the regions in which children's vaccines are being tested. The press services of the Voronezh, Lipetsk, Kursk and Tambov regions reported that they have not yet received offers to participate in clinical trials and do not know about the timing of the delivery of Sputnik M.

Earlier, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko said that the first batches of the drug are ready and are now undergoing quality control, vaccination of adolescents may begin before the end of 2021.
