For the first time since the beginning of May, more than a hundred cases of COVID-19 were detected in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria over the past day , covid-19 was confirmed in 106 people, the regional Ministry of HEALTH reported. The last time more than a hundred cases of CORONAVIRUS were detected in the region on May 8 - then the infection was detected in 101 residents, after which the incidence gradually declined. The number of infected people began to grow in the republic at the end of July.

According to the ministry, the total number of coronavirus cases in the region has reached 292.7 thousand people. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 286.26 thousand patients have managed to cope with the disease, 91 people were discharged the day before with recovery. 5777 residents of the region died from COVID-19, no deaths were recorded over the past day.

Currently, 143 patients with coronavirus are being treated in hospitals of the republic, 92 of them are people over 60 years old. Doctors assess the condition of 17 patients as serious, one patient is connected to a ventilator.

As RBC reported, on August 4, for the first time since the beginning of April, more than 18.5 thousand new cases of coronavirus were detected in RUSSIA. In total, during the pandemic, coronavirus was detected in more than 18.7 million Russians, more than 382.6 thousand people died.  

Earlier, experts interviewed by RBC Ufa reported that the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the republic was caused by the spread of BA.4 and BA.5 strains, as well as a subvariant known as the “centaur”. The peak of a new wave of the pandemic is predicted in early September, ending in October. "Centaur" is called a more severe variant of the coronavirus than "omicron", its incubation period is three to five days, a temperature of up to 38 degrees, a dry cough, muscle weakness, etc. are typical. The incidence will increase by the end of August as vacationers return, doctors predict.
