A resident of the city of Oktyabrsky was detained for forging documents, including certificates of PCR testing. More than 10 criminal cases have been initiated against a 50-year-old man, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Bashkiria reported.
Initially, the defendant in criminal cases was detained on suspicion of selling fake driver's licenses; during searches in his apartment, the police found about 40 certificates of PCR testing for various citizens. The cost of the fake form was 500 rubles, the department said. Office equipment, seals, certificates, certificates and diplomas of graduation from various educational institutions and 30 thousand rubles were also confiscated from the man.
The department reported on test purchases of documents on vaccination against coronavirus infection and other medical documents. Operational measures are carried out by employees of the department for combating economic crimes. In July, the police identified 11 citizens aged 18 to 50 suspected of forging such forms. Inspections are carried out against them, decisions are made to initiate criminal cases.
As RBC Ufa reported, since the beginning of July, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Bashkiria opened 30 more criminal cases on falsification of certificates of vaccination and testing for COVID-19 . For example, in Sterlitamak, police officers detained the secretary of one of the city hospitals and her friend, who issued certificates of vaccination against coronavirus infection without a procedure.
Earlier, lawyer Sergei Bazuev admitted that the courts would pass convictions in cases of falsification of certificates. Forgery of documents that allow you to exercise certain rights is subject to criminal liability. During an epidemic, a certificate of vaccination or test for COVID-19 can be considered as such a form, since it gives its owner some advantages.
