In Bashkiria on Sunday, June 27, in connection with the celebration, the retail sale of alcohol will be prohibited. The ban does not apply to public catering establishments, the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Services of the Republic of Belarus reported.

The restriction was established in accordance with the regional law on the regulation of activities in the field of production and circulation of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products and on limiting its consumption.

"Dry law" is also introduced in the republic on other days - during the New Year holidays, on the days of the first and last bells at schools, during the Sabantuy.

As RBC Ufa reported, restrictions on restaurants and cafes introduced in connection with the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 were eased in Bashkiria . Requirements for presenting a certificate of vaccination or a negative test for coronavirus will apply to catering establishments with a capacity of 50 people or more, it was previously planned that the restrictions would apply to all establishments with a capacity of 10 or more seats. These rules will come into effect on June 29.

Industry representatives supported this decision of the authorities. According to the director of the Association of Chefs and Restaurateurs of the Republic of Belarus, Natalya Chibrikina, changing the criterion for the number of seats is a “big plus” for restaurateurs.
