In Bashkiria, for the second day in a row, a decrease in the number of detected cases of CORONAVIRUS has been recorded. On February 20, the Ministry of HEALTH of the region reported 4409 cases, a day earlier the diagnosis was confirmed in 4459 people. Prior to this, the daily incidence in the republic grew daily, starting from the end of January, it reached its maximum value on Friday, February 18, when covid-19 was found in 4509 residents of the republic.

In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 190,480 patients with coronavirus infection have been registered in the republic, 151,781 of whom were able to overcome the disease. Over the past day, doctors have discharged 1105 people.

Currently, 33,346 residents of the republic remain on outpatient treatment, 295 patients are in hospitals. 36 people are on artificial lung ventilation. During the day, 18 deaths from COVID-19 were registered, the day before, 19 people became victims of the virus. During the entire period of the spread of the infection, 5085 patients died from its consequences.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign continues in Bashkiria. A total of 2.48 million people are planned to be vaccinated. The first component of the vaccine was administered by 2.44 million inhabitants, which is 98.2% of the population to be vaccinated. Both doses of the drug were received by 2.3 million people, or 92.4% of the target.

As RBC Ufa reported, on February 18, the HEAD of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, canceled the mandatory requirement to present QR codes at the entrance to shopping centers, restaurants and cafes, gyms, cinemas and concert halls, as well as when checking into hotels. One of the reasons for this decision was that the republic had reached the required threshold of herd immunity to coronavirus, he said. At the same time, it is still necessary to present a certificate of vaccination when attending indoor events if there are more than 500 people. Residents of the republic are required to wear masks in public places, undergo thermometry and disinfect their hands when entering buildings.
