Since March 28, CORONAVIRUS restrictions for tourists have been lifted in Azerbaijan, according to a document published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.
“From 06:00 on March 28, 2023, entry/exit to Azerbaijan by air is allowed for all citizens of foreign states and citizens of other countries permanently residing in these countries, as well as stateless persons,” the message says.
The requirement to present COVID-passports is also canceled not only when entering Azerbaijan, but also when visiting places where festive events are held, sports facilities, large shopping centers, catering establishments, hotels, public transport.
The presence of COVID-passports when visiting catering establishments, hotels and shopping centers in Azerbaijan became mandatory from September 1, 2021. At the same time, the authorities eased the restrictions for local residents at the beginning of last June.
Baku’s subway, which has been closed since October 2020, has reopened, gyms have resumed work, and the authorities have lifted the requirement to wear masks outdoors.
In mid-February, Tajikistan lifted all restrictions that were in place at state border crossings due to the pandemic. The decision was made taking into account several factors: the stabilization of the epidemiological situation, the high level of vaccination, the removal of restrictions on the passage of passengers and the transport of goods by air, land and water.
