The level of herd immunity to COVID in Russia decreased to 64.1%

The level of collective immunity to CORONAVIRUS in RUSSIA decreased from 64.4% to 64.1% over the week, according to the website of the operational headquarters.

The indicator has decreased because those who were vaccinated in the first place or had covid-19 more than six months ago lost their immunity, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova explained.

According to her, over the week, the level of herd immunity has significantly decreased in seven regions: Chechnya (by 3 p.p.), Moscow region (by 2.9 p.p.), Nenets Autonomous Okrug (by 2.8 p.p.). ), Belgorod Region (by 1.7 percentage points), Moscow, Sevastopol and Ivanovo Region (by 1.6 percentage points each).

At the same time, Sevastopol is still among the regions in which the level of the team exceeds the required threshold of 80%: it has an indicator of 88.2%, Golikova added. The list of such regions also includes Karelia (87.1%), St. Petersburg (86.9%), Murmansk region (83.7%), Tuva (81.3%) and Chukotka (80.2%).
