Soviet artist Oleg Tselkov died at the age of 87 in France, his daughter Olga told TASS.
“Oleg died on Sunday night. Just a few days did not live up to his birthday - on July 15 he would have turned 87 years old. The causes of death are currently unknown, but a few weeks ago he lost his sight, and this was a severe blow for him, which he could not bear, ”she said.
According to the artist's daughter, Tselkov will be buried in Champagne, and the funeral will be held in Paris.
All the artist's works depict a character who was called differently, including "mask" or "mug". “I started writing my character in the early 1960s. He is changing. A new image appears. And when they say something like that, mug or not mug ... Maybe mug, I won’t lie, I don’t know. Maybe not a face," Tselkov said in an interview with ARTANDHOUSES.
