Lead singer of Il Divo quartet Carlos Marin dies

At the age of 54, the Spanish baritone, lead singer of the Il Divo quartet, Carlos Marin, has died, according to the band's official Twitter page.

“It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that our friend and partner Carlos Marin has passed away. There will never be another person with the voice and spirit of Carlos again.

According to The Sun, the artist died as a result of infection with a CORONAVIRUS infection in Manchester, UK. The publication notes that in December he contracted covid-19 , then he was placed in an artificial coma.

Carlos Marin began his career at the age of eight, with the solo album "Little Caruso". The artist gained popularity by participating in musicals: Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, Man from La Mancha. He also performed roles in the operas La Traviata, Madama Butterfly and The Barber of Seville.
