The Ukrainian authorities intend to tighten entry from Russia and four other countries as part of the fight against coronavirus infection covid-19 . Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, stated this during a briefing.
“We do not exclude that the Cabinet of Ministers will take additional measures [to cross the border] regarding these countries,” he said, specifying that we are talking about Russia, Belarus, India and “two more EU countries.”
According to him, these could be “even tighter restrictions”, the purpose of which is “to reduce as much as possible the number of people who will cross the border from there.”
As Danilov noted, the issue of new restrictions will be worked out by the Ukrainian Ministry of HEALTH. “You know that two new strains “delta” and “lambda” have appeared, which today cause us concern about the spread in our country. The Minister of Health, Mr. [Viktor] Lyashko, was heard, and in the near future the Cabinet of Ministers will take additional measures to respond to this threat, because it is very dangerous. Because, as you know, unfortunately, they already concern not only the adult population - they also concern children, ”concluded the Secretary of the Security Council.
