The criminal case against former State Duma deputy Alexei Burnashov was submitted to the Leninsky District COURT of Perm. This was reported to RBC Perm in the press service of the court.

They clarified that the start date of the case has not yet been set. A judge has not yet been appointed.

Aleksey Burnashov is accused of committing crimes under Part 2 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence dangerous to life or HEALTH against a representative of power in connection with the performance of his official duties) and Art. 319 of the Criminal Code (publicly insulting a representative of the authorities in connection with the performance of his official duties).

Earlier, RBC Perm reported that, according to investigators, on July 8, 2021, the accused was driving while intoxicated. During the proceedings, he used violence against one of the traffic police officers, causing bodily harm. They were regarded as minor harm to health.

“In addition, in the presence of strangers, in an indecent form, verbally expressed obscene insults to the policeman in connection with the performance of his official duties by the officer,” the investigative committee said.
