On September 12, the Ufa International Marathon took place in the capital of Bashkiria for the seventh time. More than 4,000 participants took to the starts in five distances in the blocked historical center of the city. As part of the marathon, 77 actions were created on the fundraising platform "Do" and almost 1.1 million rubles were collected - this is a new record for the marathon in terms of fees. The funds will be distributed among five charitable foundations - Ufa Hospice, Breaking Barriers, Markhamat, Special Children and Our Future. The total amount of fees will be updated, since donations can be made within a week, Alisa Krasnoyarskaya, press secretary of the marathon, told RBC Ufa.

In 2020, due to the pandemic, the marathon was held in a truncated safe format. Participants were offered to run until September 13 along any convenient route with a pre-issued number and show the organizers the track of the run from their watch or phone. On the day of the marathon, about 1,000 people entered the race. In 2020, 724.2 thousand rubles were collected in favor of charitable foundations, in 2019 - 700 thousand, and a year earlier - 423 thousand rubles.
