
Ufa ranked seventh in the top 15 largest cities in the country in terms of banking infrastructure. The rating was compiled by the analytical company Marketing Logic. There are seven bank offices and 26 ATMs per 10,000 residents of the republic's capital.
The leader of the rating is Kazan, where there are eight bank offices and 29 ATMs per 10,000 citizens. Krasnoyarsk ranks second (indicators are six and 29, respectively), Yekaterinburg closes the top three (six offices and 28 ATMs per 10,000 people).
In addition, Ufa was ahead of Omsk, Voronezh and Chelyabinsk in the ranking. The top 15 also included Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Samara, Novosibirsk and Rostov-on-Don.
Moscow (five bank offices and 17 ATMs per 10,000 people) and St. Petersburg (four offices and 15 ATMs) close the rating in terms of banking infrastructure. At the same time, the authors of the study point out that in the capitals the share of banking operations conducted online is the highest, as well as the level of development of digital and remote services is higher.
“In the largest cities of RUSSIA, on average, there are about 1,500 residents per bank office, which is a very comfortable number for potential customers. For comparison, in Europe, on average, there are more than 6 thousand inhabitants per branch, according to the European Banking Federation, ”says Dmitry Galkin, managing partner of Marketing Logic.
