Over the past year, the cost of a grocery set has increased significantly, and now even fewer working Tyumen residents can afford to dine in canteens or cafes. This trend also affected Tyumen. Thus, according to Tyumenstat, only in October, consumer prices increased by an average of 5.3% compared to December last year.
As an online survey showed, in autumn 61% of Tyumen residents prefer to take food from home to work. And mostly women do it - 67%. And 33% of men.
“Over the past year, 10% of working Tyumen residents decided to give up lunches in public catering - 34% did this due to price increases, 28% due to a decrease in food quality and portion sizes, 21% of respondents no longer have enough time for lunch, and 5% of respondents are afraid of contracting covid-19 in crowded places. 12% of respondents did not indicate the reason, ”the study says.
Earlier, RBC Tyumen reported that restaurateurs plan to raise prices for meals in their establishments. The reason for this was a massive increase in the cost of products and the upcoming introduction of a QR code system, due to which the owners of establishments of establishments predict a drop in revenue of up to 60% percent.
