Tourists have booked 50% of the rooms in the mountains of Sochi for the New Year holidays

Tourists have booked more than half of the rooms in the hotels of the Sochi mountain cluster for the New Year holidays, Mayor Alexei Kopaygorodsky said on TELEGRAM.

“More than half of the rooms in the mountain cluster have already been booked. During the holidays, we plan to receive about 250,000 guests,” the HEAD of the city said.

He noted that it is important for the resort to provide a high level of service and maintain control over the situation with the CORONAVIRUS. Kopaygorodsky instructed Rospotrebnadzor to introduce such additional measures as regular processing of cabins on cable cars, installation of limiters to create social distance in queues, as well as contactless sale of ski passes (subscriptions to ski resorts).

The Mayor of Sochi said that the coastal infrastructure is ready to receive guests. The authorities have opened 30 winter beaches, more than 35 tourist facilities are operating, where sanitization and mask control will be strengthened.
