New restrictions against covid-19 in Sevastopol, according to which you can book places and check into hotels only with a certificate of vaccination or the presence of antibodies, are unlikely to cause a massive cancellation of tours to this region. This was stated by market representatives interviewed by RBC.
“Yes, there will be those who will probably reschedule their trip and cancel altogether. But I don't think it will dominate. To a greater extent, people, as a rule, understand this whole situation, that this did not arise from scratch <...> Mass refusals, so that all hotels were empty - of course, we will not see this, and it is unlikely that it will be, ” said the vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) Alexander Osaulenko.
The authorities of Sevastopol explained the new procedure for settling in hotels Society
In his opinion, such restrictions are still better than the complete closure of resorts. Osaulenko noted that the example of other southern regions, such as Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, shows that the tightening will not provoke a massive cancellation of tours.
Svetlana Voznaya, Executive DIRECTOR of the Crimea Travel Alliance Association, noted at the same time that the restrictions apply only to Sevastopol, but they can cause negative emotions among tourists who, in principle, consider the Crimean destination.
