Deputy Prime Minister, presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry for the Development of the Far East to work out the issue of stimulating the construction of containers and container ships, as well as to increase the number of customs officers at the borders. “The Ministry of Industry and Trade of RUSSIA, together with the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the Ministry for the Development of the Far East of Russia, was instructed to work out the issue of stimulating the construction of containers and container ships to ensure sea freight,” the message says.
Trutnev also instructed the Federal Customs Service of Russia to increase the number of employees at checkpoints across the state border of Russia in the district. In addition, the plenipotentiary instructed the Ministry of Transport, together with the interested federal executive authorities, to submit proposals, including an economic justification, for equipping checkpoints across the state border.
