An unidentified gunman opened fire in northwest Washington, the county police said on Twitter.
The injured included two men and a minor girl. Their condition is not specified.
According to police, the shooting occurred at 2900 block of Van Ness Street. Based on the maps, the building is next to the Howard Law School. Embassies of the Netherlands, Jordan, Ethiopia, Morocco, Bangladesh, Israel, Pakistan, Singapore, Nigeria, Malaysia, Brunei, Egypt and Austria are located in the neighboring quarter.
A police spokesman told RIA Novosti that the incident was in a "very active phase." The agency correspondent reported a traffic jam near the scene and helicopters in the sky. The CBS News broadcast shows that at least 20 police cars arrived in the area of the incident.
