Titov predicted the excess of turnover to QR codes after their cancellation

Due to pent-up demand, which has formed during the operation of mandatory QR codes in Moscow and the region, the turnover in the catering sector after their cancellation will exceed past figures. Boris Titov, authorized under the President of RUSSIA for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, told RBC about this.

“Turnover will recover from the first day. Moreover, due to pent-up demand, they will exceed past figures,” Titov said. According to him, depending on whether a cafe or restaurant has a summer terrace, the losses amounted to 30-90%.

“It is unlikely that many [catering establishments] closed, the period of restrictions was quite short,” the business ombudsman added.

Titov also stressed that catering support measures will not interfere, but the main thing is not to introduce new restrictions.
